With over 28 years of experience supporting marginalized communities, I’ve dedicated my career to walking alongside individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges, and systemic barriers to employment and independence. From nonprofit work to roles as an employment consultant and vocational specialist, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of personalized support—like the success story that earned recognition in the 2016 Sound Mental Health Annual Report. Today, I bring that same heart and intention to my private practice, where your definition of success shapes everything I do.
I hold a Ph.D. in Human Services, specializing in Leadership and Organizational Management.
Successful Essentials Counseling, LLC exists because I believe support should reflect your reality, not a one-size-fits-all model. Through my partnerships with the Washington State Department of Health, Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, and the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), I provide individualized vocational rehabilitation counseling, employment services, and supports to people with disabilities who want to work but face substantial barriers in finding meaningful and sustained employment. I also conduct vocational assessments, offer independent living services, and provide mental health services to Washington State's Medicaid-integrated HIV early intervention program – the Early Intervention Program (EIP). Additionally, I offer life coaching for those seeking clarity, confidence, and stronger decision-making skills.
Guided by Bandura’s social cognitive theory and therapeutic models like Person-Centered, Reality, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, I combine evidence-based tools with deep listening, compassion, and a belief in your potential. I’m licensed as a Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of Washington (License No. 1487325890), and I’m here to help you move forward with purpose.
